Jason Schultz Bio

I enjoy computers and the internet and started out on a Tandy, moving to a legendary Commodore 64, and finally going down the PC route through the 90’s. Experimenting with the early days of the internet such as BBS’s I got my head around this new world wide web thing.

In high school I had the pleasure of mentorship from a successful business man who previously had a thriving business in Silicon Valley with partners such as Apple. He taught me a lot, directly and indirectly that ultimately lead to founding several “.com” companies while in high school and college. These consisted of a dial up internet service provider, web development company, search engine optimization business, and the like. Most being failures in the pop culture sense of the word, all were very valuable learning experiences that added up to what I understand today.

Over the next 10 years or so most of my time was spent learning by building. New internet technologies were popping up and I spent a lot of time trying to learn about internet marketing, permission marketing, social networking (the old school types), API’s, open source technologies, multivariate testing, automation, by actually building them and launching things in the wild. Most of this was for the sake of education, though by way of a little luck some of these projects became a little successful.

Today I mostly work with new web based service technologies. I have a portfolio of companies and web projects which I enjoy devoting my time to. Some of these are a decade old and others are a few months new. All of them involve people far smarter and more talented than me and I like to learn from them as we try to do the impossible each day.
